A plain-English ebike glossary: pedal assist, throttle, torque sensor, mid-drive, Wh, Ah, pedelec, class 1 2 3 and other terms in electric bike buying guides.

This guide is based on public information and manufacturer specifications. We do not claim hands-on testing. Prices and availability change often, and tariffs can move them; check the listing for current details.

Charge cycle
One full discharge and recharge of the battery.
